Fragments of Hope, Belize

AWARDS

Throughout years of restoration and advocating for healthier reefs, we have done quite a lot. With a drive for success, Fragments of Hope have received awards/recognition for the remarkable coral restoration work done throughout Belize.

 

2014: The Ocean Hero Award from Oceana Belize was awarded to Lisa Carne during a special ceremony on Saturday, September 27th for the efforts made towards the benefits and good health of Belize’s reef systems.

 

2016: International Coral Reef Symposium (ICRS) Fragments of Hope received international recognition for demonstrating effective Caribbean acroporid population enhancement in Belize.

 

2017: Momentum for Change  Fragments of Hope was awarded the UN Climate Change Award under their program Momentum for Change, Lighthouse activities, under the category “Women for Results”.

 

2018: Women as Agents of Change Award:  Thanks to GEF SGP multiple grants over the years, Fragments of Hope founder Lisa Carne has been able to execute multiple initiatives that promote the conservation, protection and sustainable use of resources in Belize.
